Accepting deposits for new Whisper Woods assisted living facility (Jan. 25, 2018) With its soon-to-open facility in Smithtown, Benchmark Senior Living, of Waltham, Massachusetts, is making its first foray into the New York housing market. Benchmark, a 21-year-old company, currently operates 58 housing facilities in seven states. This is a senior living unit where the technology on the resident’s body — the wearables — works in concert with the technology in the resident’s apartment, making the entire apartment a part of IoT. Erland Construction to Manage Construction of Benchmark Senior Living Memory Care Community in Newton Centre (Dec. 12, 2017) Erland will oversee construction of Benchmark’s 34,683-square-foot memory care community as well as major renovation work to an existing 19,914-square-foot, two-story building.
