April 04, 2019

Recognized for Achieving the Best Business and Financial Performance in 2018
of All Benchmark Communities

Benchmark (www.benchmarkseniorliving.com), a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced that Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings, an assisted living and memory care community in Waltham, Mass., has received the Benchmark Navigation Award for 2018. At Benchmark’s 17th Annual Awards Gala held on March 28, 2019, the community was recognized out of all 58 Benchmark communities across the Northeast for demonstrating the best business and financial results.

Executive Director Sylvia Clark accepted the award on behalf of the community. “We are proud to be recognized for our performance, but really what matters most to us is the positive feedback we receive every day from residents and their families,” says Clark. “Our residents are actively engaged in life because of the experiences we provide, and there is nothing more rewarding than that.”

Since 1997, Waltham Crossings has provided some of the area’s best senior care centered on the values of human connection. Associates develop deep and meaningful relationships with each resident and family member to help them connect with what matters most at every stage of their lives and provide experiences that will help them thrive. The community’s Mind & Memory approach provides a holistic methodology for caring for those with memory issues, engaging in physical, social, intellectual, emotional, purposeful and spiritual wellness through research-based

programming, individualized and group activities, 24/7 personal care assistance and more.

In 2018, the community won the Benchmark One Company Fund Award for its support of Benchmark’s One Company Fund, a 501c3 organization that grants funds to Benchmark associates in times of need when they can’t purchase the necessities of life or meet the contingencies created by an emergency.

“I am so grateful for the work that Sylvia and the rest of the Waltham Crossings team does every single day to elevate human connection,” says Tom Grape, founder, chairman and CEO of Benchmark. “Our annual awards gala is the highlight of my year because it’s an opportunity for all of us to come together to celebrate our communities and associates who sincerely live our company mission, vision and values. This year’s award winners are truly exemplary, and I could not be prouder of all we have accomplished together.”
