Capitol Ridge at Providence to Host Creative Strategies to Pay for Senior Care

November 17, 2018

On December 11 Families Will Learn About Little-Known
VA Benefits, Bridge Loans & More

Someone turning age 65 today has almost a 70% chance of needing some type of long-term care services and support in their remaining years. Yet, few older Americans have done substantial planning or saving for their future, and less than half have even talked about the topic with their families.

Capitol Ridge at Providence, a Benchmark assisted living and memory care community in Providence, R.I., wants to help Rhode Island residents who have not yet planned for how to pay for senior care or are facing unexpected challenges. On December 11 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, the community will host Creative Strategies to Pay for Senior Care led by guest speaker, Linda Amir, Benchmark’s director of senior care financial solutions.

Amir, who recently appeared on New England Cable News (NECN), will discuss alternative ways to help pay for senior living as you age, including the ins and outs of the little-known VA Aid and Attendance Benefit which can provide up to $26,000 per year in assistance and how short-term bridge loans can bridge the gap between existing assets and the care that’s needed now.

Amir is the creator of Benchmark’s Financial Concierge Program, which has provided millions of dollars in financial assistance to families since its inception at no cost to them.

An industry-first, this complimentary program demystifies and presents a host of alternative financing options that individuals and families may not know are available.

She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including as vice president for National Financial, a Fidelity Investments Company, as well as for Sovereign Bank, Nellie Mae and Bank of Boston. She graduated with an M.B.A. in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and B.S. in Economics, Marketing and Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Creative Strategies to Pay for Senior Care will take place on December 11 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at Capitol Ridge at Providence, which is located at 700 Smith Street (Route 44) in Providence. To RSVP or for more information, call (401) 240-4566 or email
