Highly experienced memory care practitioner focuses on meeting individual needs of each resident.

Certified Dementia Practitioner Kristen St. Jean has joined Greystone Farm at Salem, a Benchmark Senior Living Community in Salem, N.H., as executive director.

She is pleased to return to the community where she began her career in senior living, first as a resident care nurse and then as the director of Greystone Farm’s memory care “neighborhood.”

After completing Benchmark’s Emerging Leaders Program, in 2015 she became the executive director of The Atrium at Drum Hill, a Benchmark memory care community in Chelmsford, Mass.

“I’m thrilled to reunite with all the familiar faces, and I look forward to meeting and getting to know the new residents, associates and families who became a part of the community while I was away,” St. Jean says.

“Kristen excels at managing programs that foster moments of joy and social connection for all residents,” says Noeline Cranston, Benchmark’s regional director of operations. “As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Director of Assisted Living and a Licensed Practical Nurse, Kristen understands how to tailor programs to meet each resident’s individual needs so that they can have meaningful and purposeful days. Her expertise gives families comfort knowing their loved one is engaged, happy and safe.”

“Greystone Farm at Salem truly feels like a home,” St. Jean says. “The environment is warm, welcoming and comfortable, and the residents, families and associates are committed to making it a great place to live, visit and work.”

Earlier this year, St. Jean received Benchmark’s prestigious Peter M. Small Award at the company’s Annual Awards Gala on behalf of The Atrium at Drum Hill. The award is presented to the community best exemplifying the balance of excellence, talent and financial responsibility while achieving high resident, family and associate satisfaction.

St. Jean has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Suffolk University and lives in Pelham, N.H., with her husband and their two children.
