With the “It’s Personal” former values banner gone from the wall of the memory care office at Ridgefield Crossings, a Benchmark Senior Living (www.benchmarkseniorliving.com) community, Memory Care Director Terri Ramsey viewed the wall as a blank canvas ready to proclaim the new Benchmark values. And she had just the person for the job: Lead Resident Care Associate Kim Bottge, who frequently contributes her artistic talent at Ridgefield.

Using a projector to display the new Benchmark “mandala” that includes our company values, Kim started painting over the projected image and painted for 15 straight hours.

“I loved the [former] ‘It’s Personal’ values and was sorry to see them go,” says Terri. “But I soon realized that the new values perfectly encapsulate the old ones. And they’re so easy to remember and put into practice. We’re grateful to Kim for helping us embrace and live these values.”

“Terri and I want everyone to share our passion for our core values,” says Kim. “Day in and day out, the mural reminds us of what we stand for.”

Ridgefield celebrated the anniversary of the first drive-in movie theater with a drive-in movie night. To enhance the experience, Kim crafted cutouts of vehicles from the 1950s. For a 1960s event, she created a cutout of a Volkswagen bus (not shown).
