River Ridge at Avon Announces Holly Neddermann as New Executive Director

November 19, 2017

Personal and professional experience with the community guide her leadership.

River Ridge at Avon, a Benchmark Senior Living community in Avon, Conn., has appointed Holly Neddermann as the community’s new executive director.

“It is an honor to promote Holly to the role of executive director,” says Justin Grady, Benchmark’s regional director of operations.

Neddermann first came to River Ridge in 2008 when she was looking for an assisted living community for her mother. She felt so connected to the community, she became community relations director and then director of memory care. Earlier this year, after completing Benchmark’s Emerging Leaders program, Neddermann became interim executive director at River Ridge.

Grady was executive director of River Ridge when Neddermann’s mother was a resident. “Holly’s love, dedication and passion for her mom on a daily basis as an adult child, as well as for everyone she touched when she entered the community, has always stayed with me,” he says. “When the opportunity arose, I couldn’t have thought of a more prepared, compassionate and committed leader to assume this role. Holly truly exemplifies what it means to ‘Elevate Human Connection,’ our company’s core mission.”

Neddermann believes she understands the range of emotions that families experience when choosing a community for a senior loved one and says she is committed to creating daily moments of joy for each River Ridge resident.

“Changes brought on by aging can be both physically challenging and emotionally stressful,” she says. “Our associates take the time to incorporate each resident’s wealth of knowledge, experience, talents and desires into a lifestyle plan allowing residents to continue leading active and fulfilling lives. River Ridge offers a full spectrum of care to meet the long-term needs of residents while giving them a high quality of life.”

Neddermann owned a home services company for eight years after working in a corporate aviation department for 20 years. She has an associate’s degree in business administration and lives in Canton, Conn., with her husband and two daughters.
