We are proud to be bringing quality senior care to Scotch Plains.
The new Benchmark community in Scotch Plains is in an ideal location suited for seniors desiring a wide range of nearby activities. Residents will be able to take in the surrounding area from a walking path that surrounds the community while visiting many neighboring sites, such as the Academy for Performing Arts, golf courses, a community pool, scenic walking trails and churches.
The community will offer residents and their loved ones 81,692 square feet of indoor and outdoor space spread out over three floors, including 86 studio and one-bedroom apartments with kitchenettes and handicap-adaptable bathrooms. On the first floor, off the grand staircase adorned lobby, a bistro, club room, dining rooms, recreational room and several outdoor patios and porches, some offering outdoor dining, will beckon residents to connect and engage. For those with dementia and Alzheimer’s, the secure Mind & Memory Care neighborhood will feature Benchmark’s signature programs administered by specially trained associates in a variety of spaces as well as amenities like a dedicated outdoor patio, dining room, hair salon* and recreation room.
On the second and third floors, residents will enjoy additional amenities, including a wellness center with fitness center and rehabilitation room, hair salon, library, lounge, movie theater and multipurpose room for events and other programs. A rooftop deck will host regular social hours and other events.

A new community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Mind & Memory Care
Cedar Grove is often ranked as one of the best places to live in Essex County and in the entire state of New Jersey. It is known for being a quintessential, suburban community that generations of families have called home with good schools and a variety of things to see and do. Benchmark is excited to bring our high quality senior care to Cedar Grove.
Benchmark at Cedar Grove will be located on the site of the former Cedar Grove Garden Center. The community will provide a wide range of on-site rental options, including independent living, personalized assisted living and memory care for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Situated on over seven acres, the 145,000-square-foot, four-story building will include 138 apartments with a range of sizes and floor plans. Distinct amenities will be available for each of the three care levels and will include multiple dining venues, a pub/bistro, arts and activities spaces, a sports lounge, two hair salons*, a wellness center and numerous exterior courtyards designed for active and passive recreation and more.
In addition to the many amenities, Benchmark at Cedar Grove will provide seniors with personalized care, restaurant style dining, a full calendar of programs and the opportunity for connections every day.
Benchmark at East Brunswick -
East Brunswick, NJ**

We are excited to bring Benchmark’s personalized approach to senior living to East Brunswick.
Conveniently located near the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 18, Benchmark at East Brunswick will offer easy access to shopping, dining, and leading healthcare providers and other local attractions, making it an ideal location for seniors seeking comfort, convenience and everyday enjoyment.
Construction has already begun on the three-story, 84,276-square-foot community that will feature 87 assisted living and memory care apartments with premium finishes and thoughtfully designed amenities. Residents will enjoy multiple dining venues, a theater, a modern fitness center, a salon and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces that promote wellness, engagement and connection.
For people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, the secure Mind & Memory Care neighborhood will provide Benchmark’s signature programming led by specially trained associates in thoughtfully designed spaces, including a dedicated outdoor patio, dining room, salon and recreation room.

Benchmark at East Islip will bring Benchmark Senior Living’s award-winning approach to assisted living and memory care to another Long Island town. Designed to support independence, personalized care, and meaningful connections, the community will offer seniors a vibrant place to call home, while expanding Benchmark’s growing presence in New York.
Conveniently located approximately 45 miles east of Manhattan, the community will be in the heart of East Islip, within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and everyday conveniences. The two-story community will feature 90 assisted living and memory care apartments with premium finishes and a variety of amenities, including multiple dining venues, a theater, fitness center, salon, and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces.
For those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, Benchmark’s secure Mind & Memory Care neighborhood will provide specialized support delivered by highly trained associates. Residents will benefit from Benchmark’s signature programming in thoughtfully designed spaces that promote purpose, engagement, and comfort, including dedicated dining and recreation areas, a salon, and secure outdoor spaces.
