Adam Manchester Named Campus Executive Director at Walpole’s New Pond Village

Adam Manchester

Benchmark Senior Living has appointed Adam Manchester as campus executive director at New Pond Village in Walpole, Mass. Manchester, who lives in Westford, Mass., will oversee day-to-day operations at the senior living community.

Manchester, a Newton native, knows the Walpole community well. He has served the senior living industry his entire career since completing a bachelor’s degree in business management at Westfield State University in 2000. In 2017, he earned the Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL) credential from the Senior Living Certification Commission. The certification demonstrates attainment of consistent, relevant, measurable and industry-recognized standards of practice in the assisted living executive director role.

“This industry is all about connecting residents, families and associates to what’s meaningful and possible at every stage of their lives. Most people can’t leave their jobs at the end of the day smiling about the interactions they had all day and the opportunity to transform lives. I get to do that,” says Manchester.

Chris Golen, Benchmark’s regional director of operations, says the timing of Manchester joining the New Pond Village team is perfect.

“Adam comes to New Pond Village with an extensive background in senior living. He has been with Benchmark for several years,” Golen says. “We look forward to having Adam lead the New Pond Village team at this exciting time; the renovations are complete, and the new memory care neighborhood featuring Benchmark’s Mind and Memory approach programming has been open for a few months.”

Construction of the memory care neighborhood was part of Benchmark’s $8 million investment in New Pond Village, which also included an expansion of its independent and assisted living services. The community’s memory care neighborhood is the first senior living community in Walpole to offer support to those with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Using the latest research in cognitive impairment, the neighborhood offers apartment living with comfortable open spaces where residents can enjoy the company of others in a dignified, secure setting.
