Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced that Chuck Crush, CDAL, has been promoted to executive director of Ashland Farm at North Andover, a Benchmark assisted living and memory care community in North Andover, Mass. Crush brings nearly 25 years of healthcare leadership experience to the community having most recently served as executive director of Benchmark’s Birches at Concord memory care community in Concord, N.H., and interim executive director of The Atrium at Drum Hill, a Benchmark memory care community in Danvers, Mass.

Crush is a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL) who has led skilled nursing, hospice and assisted living communities in Mass., N.H. and Virginia. Before Benchmark he served as director of hospice for the VNA of Vermont and New Hampshire. He is a graduate of various leadership programs including the Geisel School of Medicine Leadership program at Dartmouth College and the Disney Institute Leadership Excellence program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and social work from Roanoke College.

“Chuck’s work throughout his tenure at Benchmark has been exceptional,” says Noeline Alberts, regional director of operations for Benchmark. “We could not ask for a better partner to keep our associates, residents and their loved ones connected to one another and what matters most.”

A resident of Concord, N.H., Crush is well-known locally for his work as a member of the Concord, N.H. School Board as well as being an avid volunteer for The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, an organization working to find a cure for Angelman Syndrome, a rare neurogenetic disorder that his daughter has.

He lives in Concord, N.H., with his wife and has three children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with this family, traveling, fine wine and engaging in spiritual pursuits.

“I’ve worked for many well-respected organizations, but Benchmark is the best because they’ve given me the autonomy to effect change, have supported my needs in caring for a daughter with special needs and their mission, vision and values resonates with my own,” says Crush.
