Leominster Crossings Showcases ‘Superb Dining Experience’

Chefs receiving awards

For the second year in a row, the culinary team at Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings won Best Entrée at the Cat’s Meow Speakeasy Tasting Gala.

Sponsored by the UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Foundation, tickets for the event raised more than $70,000 for emergency behavioral health services.

In the Speakeasy Tasting Gala, Leominster Crossings topped entries from health care companies as well as local restaurants. Benchmark chefs regularly compete in senior living and health care culinary competitions.

“Seniors place a lot of importance on enjoying three good meals a day,” says Director of Community Relations Nathaniel Gracie. “Some prospective residents assume that moving to senior living means giving up good, quality food.”

Nathanial, a former Benchmark Dining Services Director, says Benchmark’s culinary approach to creating surprising and inspired dishes that help residents live a healthy lifestyle is a big selling point for a lot of families.

“Events like the Speakeasy Tasting Gala let us show area families and industry professionals that we’re serious about giving our residents a superb dining experience.”
