The Commons in Lincoln Features Dr. John Anderson and His “Top Tips for Senior Wellness”

Man speaking to group of seniors

The Commons in Lincoln hosted its latest “Lunch and Learn” on July 10 by featuring Dr. John Anderson and his “Top Tips for Senior Wellness.”

Anderson also moderated an engaging and lively discussion with residents after lunch. He also talked one-on-one with residents and community members after the official program ended.

The presentation by Anderson included tips for healthy aging and he encouraged a healthy balance of nutrition, exercise, sleep and social engagement. When he discussed exercise, he mentioned not just walking but making sure you work up a sweat.

Anderson — an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and chief of the division of geriatric medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital — offers expert advice to residents and neighbors of The Commons in Lincoln multiple times during the year.
