See Why We’re the Benchmark
Setting the standard for senior living
Since our inception, Benchmark communities have earned more than 100 national, regional, state and local awards. Our associates, the compassionate care they provide, community programs, dining experiences and overall quality have repeatedly been recognized as the best. Our residents, their families, the greater communities we serve and our industry have continually selected our senior living communities over others.
Argentum Best of the Best 2020 Award
The national senior living association, Argentum, selected Benchmark’s Connect First Mind & Memory Care Program as one of the best in the country. This pioneering program teaches Benchmark associates how to discern what our memory care residents are trying to communicate and effective response techniques that work to evoke positive emotions.
Boston Globe Top Places to Work 2020
Benchmark has been named a top workplace in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe for 13 straight years and is one of only four companies to be recognized all 13 years the award has been given. Associates voted Benchmark as being among the best based on company direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits and engagement.
Ongoing Recognition for Corporate Giving
We’ve been pleased to have our philanthropy acknowledged as being among the best. In 2020 and 2019, Boston Business Journal awarded us as one of the largest corporate contributors in Massachusetts. In 2019, the national senior living association, Argentum, recognized us as the highest corporate donor, and we secured the most individual donors in 2019 and 2018 for senior living industry advocacy and lobbying.
Senior Housing News 2019 Architecture & Design Award
Our next-generation Mind and Memory Care community, Adelaide of Newton Centre, has received national attention for its outstanding design. The Senior Housing News 2019 Architecture & Design award recognized Benchmark for successfully reimagining an important historical structure with deep ties to the Boston area. Adelaide’s stunning tall windows, high ceilings and welcoming urban farmhouse style appeals to those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and their loved ones.
