Benchmark Senior Living Acquires Evolve at Rye Memory Care Community
Bringing Award-Winning Mind & Memory Care, Social Engagement and Programs to the New Hampshire Seacoast to Help Those with Memory Loss Age Well
Benchmark Senior Living, a leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced they have acquired the real estate and operations of Evolve at Rye. Located in Rye, New Hampshire on Route 1, Evolve at Rye is a 40-apartment community capable of serving up to 64 residents. It is the first and only dedicated memory care community in the Seacoast area.
Benchmark is the largest senior care provider in New England, with 63 communities offering independent living, assisted living, mind and memory care, and continuing care, six of which are in New Hampshire. Over the past 23 years, the company has developed expertise in providing senior living experiences for individuals living with memory loss as part of its desire to set a high standard of excellence. It currently has 60 communities offering personalized, needs-based mind and memory care.
“Dementia affects over 100,000 people in New Hampshire, and there are not enough resources to support Seacoast families. This November, which is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, we are working to address the issues faced by those living with or caring for someone with dementia. Benchmark’s Mind & Memory Care starts with its associates who reflect the company’s culture of caring. Dedicated care providers regularly attend quality trainings in areas such as empathy, infection control and Benchmark’s own nationally award-winning associate and resident communication program, Connect First. The program works to evoke positive emotions in those with brain disorders and meaningful human connections with residents and their families.
Research-based, therapeutic experiences, sensory dining and specially designed living spaces that support cognitive function, emotional health and overall wellness are provided. Benchmark works closely with a wide variety of leading institutions that provide resources for those challenged by dementia, including McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, and leader in psychiatric care, research and education. The organization also contributes nearly $100,000 annually to the Alzheimer’s Association towards finding a cure.
