Jody Abel Promoted to Executive Director of The Village at Kensington Place

Brings Over 30 Years of Human Resources & Business Administration Experience to New Leadership Role

Benchmark Senior Living, the largest senior housing provider in New England, today announced that Jody Abel of Colchester, Conn., has been promoted to executive director of The Village at Kensington Place, a Benchmark assisted living and Mind & Memory Care community. She has been with Kensington Place’s sister community, Crescent Point at Niantic, for over eight years as their director of business administration.

Abel brings over 30 years of healthcare human resources experience to the role. Before joining Benchmark, she was the director of human resources for a local skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility for almost four years.

“Jody has been such a tremendous asset to Benchmark over these past eight years,” said Justin Grady, regional director of operations for Benchmark. “I’m thrilled to have her in this role and know she will help make Kensington Place an even better place to live and work.”

Abel attended Bryant University, where she earned a bachelor’s in human resources with a minor in biology.
