Phil Lord Returns to Senior Care to Pursue Most Rewarding Career to Date

Lincoln, R.I., Native Appointed Executive Director
of Benchmark’s Blenheim-Newport Assisted Living Community

Philip Lord

Many years ago, Lincoln, R.I., native, Phil Lord, worked in several different aspects of senior care for an assisted living community. It was an experience he derived much fulfillment from, and now he’s pleased to return to the industry and leverage his health care experience as executive director for Blenheim-Newport, a Benchmark assisted living and memory care community in Middletown, R.I. Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced that Lord has joined the community, filling this key leadership role.

Prior to taking the helm at Blenheim-Newport, Lord was a regional director of operations for Carewell Urgent Care based in Quincy, Mass., where he reported directly to the CEO and oversaw management of the company’s centers. Having strong family values, he, along with his wife of six years and two daughters, now live a street away from his childhood home and parents in Lincoln, R.I.

“Phil has something that’s more important than experience,” says Justin Grady, Benchmark’s regional director of operations. “He values the important role that we at Benchmark play in elevating human connection and helping to strengthen families.”

Blenheim-Newport provides Newport County’s finest assisted living and memory care services supported by an experienced staff and Benchmark’s effective, award-winning Mind and Memory approach. Individualized care enables seniors to maintain their independence for as long as possible. A robust activities program fosters engagement and social interaction while a host of convenient on-site amenities provides peace-of-mind.

“For a long time, I’ve wanted to make my way back to senior living. Benchmark is the right fit because it has an excellent reputation and work environment and values aligned with my own,” says Lord. “I’m excited to join the team at Blenheim-Newport and be able to positively impact local families.”
