River Ridge at Avon’s Radiant Act for Healing Hands

The associates of River Ridge at Avon in Avon, Conn., helped prep meals for the Healing Hands Project in Avon as one of its Radiant Acts of Kindness in July 2018. River Ridge is one of 57 Benchmark Senior Living communities across the Northeast participating in the company’s second annual Radiant Acts campaign to demonstrate it’s focus on human connection and its values.

“Our goal is to radiate kindness and make people feel valued,” says Tom Grape, Benchmark’s chairman and CEO. “For most of us, summer is a carefree time to reconnect with friends and family, but not everyone, especially older Americans, has that opportunity. We not only want to assist our most vulnerable neighbors but also help people experience the joy of something we as a company have done since our inception, which is connecting with other people and putting them at the center of everything we do.”
